The Macao Health Code maintains a balance between the daily life of the residents and the prevention of epidemics under the normalisation of epidemics, especially in the resumption of customs clearance between Guangdong and Macao. Apart from relying on departmental notification mechanisms, the system also needs to update the health data of the relevant personnel in a timely manner. However, as identity and health information are sensitive and private data, and subject to the ‘Macau Personal Data Protection Law’, how to comply with the law and at the same time ensure the authenticity and validity of the data has become a problem.
