On 15 November, the 2024 China (Shenzhen) Data Elements Industry Innovation Conference was held in Shenzhen. With the theme of ‘Data Driving Innovation, Wisdom Leading the Future’, the conference attracted many top enterprises and experts in the data industry both at home and abroad. We were invited to participate in the event and were given a valuable opportunity to present our case study on stage during the data cross-border event.
In the ‘Typical Cases of Financial Support for the Integrated Development of Guangdong and Macao and the Construction of Hengqin’, which attracted much attention in the area of financial innovation and regional co-operation, Infomacro was honoured as the ‘Special Contributor’ for its case study on ‘Guangdong-Macao Cross-border Data Validation Service Enabling Digital Financial Innovation’. Infomacro was awarded the ‘Special Contribution Unit’.
At the DALA Awards 2024 on 8 November, Infomacro won the ‘Best Data Technology Startup’ award for its outstanding contribution to the Guangdong-Macao cross-border data validation platform.
The ‘Data Factor x’ 2024 Guangdong Competition has come to an end. The Guangdong-Macao cross-border data validation platform, operated by Infomacro as the Macau side operator, won the Third Prize in the Financial Services Track, standing out from the 1,131 projects in the Guangdong Competition.
‘Upon the launch of the Guangdong-Macau Cross-border Verification Service, financial institutions in the Greater Bay Area responded enthusiastically, with branches of Guangdong and Macao banks such as Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Bank of China, Bank of Construction, and Macao International Bank accessing the service one after another. At present, a number of cross-border businesses have been successfully verified and successfully implemented, realising dual connectivity of corporate and personal verification services and dual connectivity of ‘southbound’ and ‘northbound’ verification of data.
Co-organised by the Greater Bay Area International Information Technology Association (GBAITA) and the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), the ‘Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Cross-border Data Opportunities and Challenges’ Forum was held in the afternoon of 16th February 2024 at the Auditorium of the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST).
Focusing on the challenges and opportunities of cross-border data flow in the Greater Bay Area, the forum invited experts, academics and business representatives from the three places to share their experiences and insights.
Infomacro recently participated in the ‘Macao Technology Certified Enterprises Product Demonstration and Exchange Activity’ organised by the Macao Youth Business Incubation Centre.
